Learning to Walk

Think about it! I came across an old teaching I did years ago about what it means for a believer to walk in the Holy Spirit. May we think about our requirements for walking in the Holy Spirit; you do have a choice. 1. Our disposition-dependence on Him for the needs of our Spiritual life AND our souls, mind, will and emotions. 2. Our response-obedience so we need to listen to the Holy Spirit- Rev.2:7 & Mt. 13:16 always be sure your will is surrendered to His and obey so you can grow in your relationship with Him. 3. Our posture-keep in step never going ahead or lagging behind and always willing to be totally obedient. 4. Our posture-availability a simple rest in faith and trust. 5. Our relationship-friendship to the Holy Spirit involves valuing Him and yielding to His conviction of sin. Never grieve or quench Him in your walk. If you live like this then you are walking in the Holy Spirit if not you may be a believer but follow the flesh. Romans 8:1 There is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Learning to walk in His Spirit daily is our guarantee of having power to overcome sin. Friendship with God means trusting His leadership not ours or others. Ask yourself are you as a believer walking at all times in the Spirit or more often in the flesh. We can’t mature in Christ any other way but to yield to the marvelous work of Christ’s Holy Spirit. Jesus wants us to grow into an intimate relationship with Him. He made the way and we choose either the way of the flesh or the Spirit. Think about it, how are you walking? There is so much to teach on this so I just gave you a bite or two that you might think about it.; I am. Amen
