The Nature of Faith

Think about it! Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Where is your faith?
Faith is not a matter of feeling only, faith takes up
the whole person, mind, his intellect and understanding. It is a
response to truth.
Faith is not something that acts automatically or
magically.
What is it? Faith is an activity. It has to be
exercised. You have to put it into operation.
How do you put it into operation? First refuse to
be controlled by the situation. Second, faith is a refusal to
panic. Third, faith is unbelief kept quiet. Fourth, remind
yourself of whom you believe and in what you believe. Quote the promises
of truth.
Faith applies the Word to the particular situation.
When this is done you may not understand all that’s
going on but you will at least not feel as though God is unconcerned.
There is value of even the weakest
or smallest faith. For example – the disciples had a little faith in the boat –
enough to finally go to Him and wake Him up to save them from the storm.
Mark 11:22-26 Faith the size
of a grain of mustard seed can move mountains – because it takes us to Him!
