Think about it!  We are told to “take heed” 16 times in New Testament.
Heed – Safety (Hebrew); to hold the mind, pay attention, be cautious, apply oneself to, adhere to (Greek)
Matt 6:1-4 Take heed to Alms
Matt 16:6  Take heed and beware of the leaven
Matt 18:10-14  Take heed little ones
Matt 24:4  Take heed that no man deceive you
Mark 4:21-25  Take heed what you hear
Mark 8:15  Take heed to the repeat of leaven in Matt 16:6
Mark 13:9-11 Take heed to yourselves
Mark 13:32-37 Take heed, watch, and pray
Luke 8:18  Take heed therefore how you hear
Luke 11:35  Take heed therefore that the light which is in you be not darkness
Luke 12:15  Take heed and beware of covetousness
