The Blessing Of God’s Peace

Think about it!  The blessing of God’s peace to His people – we need to seek it; require as a vital necessity.  You must have peace within yourself before you can have peace with others.
Ps.  34:14 ; 1 Peter 3:11  Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Isa 27:5 ; Col 3:15 ; Ps 133 ; Luke 10:1-6 ; John 14:27 16:33 ; Phil 4:7  Peace and blessings of God go together; peace that passes all understanding given through Christ
James 3:18 ; Isa 53:5  It’s a challenge to have peace – easy to have strife.  Gal 2:20 Key – learn to live the exchanged life.  Eyes off self and onto Jesus.
Heb 12:2 ; Matt 5:9  Blessed are the peacemakers; for they will be called the children of God.
Nub. 21 Come from hating yourself to enjoying yourself.
What will come to steal our peace?  Phil 2:3  Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory.
II Tim 2:24  Servant of the Lord must not strive.  I can rest on the Faithful One.  Rom 5:15-19
Prov 18:6  A fool’s lips enter into contentions and his mouth calles for strokes.
Strife – quarrel
Contention – struggle; argue; assertion supported by arguments.
Jesus is the Author & Finisher – we try to be the finisher and become weary.
