Long Suffering – A Fruit of the Spirit

Think about it1  Jesus said – take up your cross and follow Me.  The suffering of Jesus on the cross was so intense and the pain He suffered unto death was for each and every person who calls themselves a Christian. Was this an example of what some Christians may be asked to endure? If we look at the disciples, we realize that many suffered like our Lord and endured death for the cause of the spreading of the gospel.  Jesus said if any man will come after Me, let him deny himself.  He said whoever will save his life shall lose it. And whoever will lose his life for My sake will find it.  The Lord does not ask many of us to endure death but He does say that if we are Christians, then we will have to go through sufferings on Earth but by accepting Him as our Father in Heaven He gives His strength to overcome any problems that may come our way.  In Revelation it says He will remove all of our sorrows, no more crying or pain for the old world and its evils are gone forever!
