Victory In Trials

Think about it! I Peter 1:6-7
Wherein greatly rejoice, though now
for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perish
though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at
the appearing of Jesus Christ.
Some judge whether you’re a
Christian at all when you are going through this. Some believe falsely
that once saved all is well.
Heaviness – means to be grieved, to
be troubled, to be broken in pieces.
Its not merely that we have to
suffer certain things, but that the sufferings of these things does grieve
us. We are troubled by them and are really unhappy by them.
II Cor 4:7 A part of the
paradox of the Christian life – through trials comes balance. But if not
received right it throws us out of balance. We fail to maintain the
balance. Then the heaviness this grief overwhelms us and really casts us
down. Then when people look at us they see the grievous heaviness more
than the great rejoicing.
It’s normal for a Christian to
experience grief and sorrow, they know loneliness they know what it is to be
disappointed. Christians can rise above these feelings though you feel
them.
