Take Your Position

 Think about it!  ITim 3  For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?
Men, it’s time to take your position and hold your ground.  Do warfare – lead prayer, bible study, teach the Word, live the Word.
Position – a place occupied by a person; a place held by troops.
3 major qualities of a spiritual leader – desire to seek God, receives conviction, determination to follow convictions.
Man’s position in the home – head, leader – the one responsible for how the people in it are taught.  The one responsible for all matters involving the home.  You will answer directly to God.  Ps 106:23-29; Gen 1:26; 2:15; 2:20-25; Eph 5:25; I Peter 3:7
Prov 28:13  If you cover sin you won’t prosper.  II Chron 17:1-6  This King fulfilled his position.
Excuses offered by men not to be able to take their rightful headship:
Gen 3:12  Adam – blamed the woman
Ex 32:24  Aaron – blamed the people
Isa 13:12  King Saul – blamed the priests
